Mei Xiang is Dong minority, in her 40's (I am guessing), married with 2 children. Both she and her husband are very knowledgeable about minority culture.  Her husband was the first person in the village to get a college degree.  Their older son now in college studies computers. Mei Xiang is under 5 feet high and a truly remarkable person.  I do not think that she had ever used her husbands camera before this but instinctively understood how to get the camera images to show both process and aesthetics.
